Camera setup for scanning hands
« on: January 14, 2014, 11:59:24 AM »
Hi, I am trying to scan a closeup of a hand.

Can anyone give me an idea of what the camera setup should be and how many images.

Thanks!

Vince

It's really no different than what you would use for scanning a head... honestly.

Cheers,

Yes it should be the same setup than the one for the head or body scanning but with less cameras needed. I would guess the minimum you need is around 10 camera shots since hands are so small and pretty much everything in the front is visible from any shot and the same for the rear.
Try taking 3 shots from 2 different heights for the front and the same for the rear and see how it comes out. that will give you an idea.
