Linux-issue - Photoscan Pro
« on: February 16, 2014, 05:38:34 PM »
We are investigating running Photoscan Pro on an HPC cluster.
The university cluster runs CentOS, not Ubuntu.

I'm not familiar with Linux, so question is: will Photoscan Pro run on CentOS?

regards

Hi Jens,

our experiences are, that it works to run PS on CentOS, ScientificLinux  or Fedora, though we did not test the latest versions of PS.  Crucial thing is always the driver for the graphics card, when you want to use OpenCL for GPU computing.

When you go for a test, please report, what your findings are.

Cheers

Jens

- ok - sounds optimistic.

The cluster hosts 30-35 nodes with double Nvidia Telsa 1060 GPU and 20 nodes with triple Nvidia Telsa 2050 GPU. They run CUDA version 5.5.22
