Hi All, Geomagic is perfect tool for the hollowing of textured parts, its "easy", when the mesh is "clean, without any problems. For the skull i need approx 1 hour, to clean problems there, normally when is the mesh prepared, i get it under 10 minutes...... With all UVs and vertex colors other stuff, even when need to delete few problematic areas....
There is way to do it even in Zbrush, as we have tested, but you have not the precise control about the shell thickness.... and it need a bit knowledge of the Zbrush sw
It took me few day to get it working with Geomagic shell commands, as there can be problems when the mesh is not absolutely clean from errors in mesh. - as i asked few months back
Have used the Zcorp 3D 3DEDIT Pro, but it has problems with larger or "complicated" meshes, so sometimes we could not make hollow models there.....
