Photoscan Standard - object orientation?
« on: March 18, 2014, 07:29:56 PM »
Sorry if this has been posted before, I couldn't find any answers in my searching

Is it possible to do basic object rotating/orienting before export? I see there's a button to rotate the object, but does something need to be done afterward to commit this to the export?

I thought I had rotated my object to be oriented, but the FBX brought the model in at what i think was the odd angle it has originally meshed at.

thoughts?

I'm working with photos of an interior and wanted to try and align the floor roughly with the virtual ground - I usually do it in my 3d program afterwards, but I thought if I could get it done in photoscan and the cameras might be usable later.

thanks

Hello bcoyle,

The rotation is applied at the same moment it is performed in the Model view. Could you please check if this problem is reproducible only for FBX or for other formats too (like OBJ, for example)?

It looks like it worked correctly with this other scene. Thanks for the prompt response :)

I'll pop back in here if I run into any other issues.
