Hello hhsokkia,

I think that the second part of the following tutorial will be useful for you: http://www.agisoft.com/pdf/PS_1.0.0_Tutorial%20(IL)%20-%20Coded%20Targes%20and%20Scale%20Bars.pdf

To create the scale bar in version 1.0 you need to select two markers in the Workspace pane or Model view, right-click and choose Create Scale Bar option.

I'm having trouble following the scale bar instructions in the user manual. This thread contains a link to a tutorial on setting scale. However, that link is broken. Is it possible to re-establish it please?... or a link to any thread or reference that walks step by step through setting up scale for a model.

Thanks.

I have found atleast the text from the tutorial in google webcache (without screenshots), perhaps this could help you in between:
Quote
... How to Set Up Reference Distance
...
To create a scale bar consequently left-click on the markers in the Model view (with any
selection tool active, while holding the Ctrl key), that correspond to the scale bar ends.
Then right-click in the model view or on the pair of selected markers in the Workspace
pane to open the context menu and select Create Scale Bar option. Repeat for every pair of
markers with know distance between them.

Go to the Ground Control pane and inset the distance for every scale bar the distance is
known for:

Check all the scale bars you want to use for model scaling and press
Update button.
The scale will be applied to the model.
To apply correct model orientation in space use
Rotate Object tool.

That helps somewhat. But it suggests that I need to actually model my scale bar. I would prefer not to.

1. Is this possible?
2. If I have multiple chunks, do I need to set scale for each?

Hi DCK,

the link to the tutorial is working now again! (or see here: http://www.agisoft.com/pdf/PS_1.0.0_Tutorial%20%28IL%29%20-%20Coded%20Targes%20and%20Scale%20Bars.pdf.
In the screenshots of the tutorial you can see, that only the first step Aligning is necessary, then you can set markers in your images on your scale bar/s and give your project a scale (only in the Pro version off course).
