Hi there, can anyone share how to setup a stereo pair of camera? Says, what is the typical distance between cameras?, should the cameras be aligned in parallel or at an angle towards the center? Thanks

How will the images be used?

In traditional stereo photography the cameras need to be essentially identical and point in the same direction. A major advantage of recent software such as PhotoScan is the camera does not have to point in the same direction for each image, and photos can be used which were taken with cameras with different characteristics.

StereoScan by Agisoft uses a pair of photos which don't have to be oriented in exactly the same direction. http://www.agisoft.ru/products/stereoscan/
