Rapid data quality check
« on: June 26, 2014, 05:20:08 PM »
Hello!

I am planing to use Photoscan for aerial surveying applications and was wondering... Is there a option I could use for rapid image coverage and quality check? Something similar to what can be created using File/Generate Report? Basically i want something, that can be used immediately after flight, but before going back to office.

If not, is there other software I could use?

Thank you!

I was considering that, but if project is very large, even processing data with lowest settings can take up to couple hours.

Hello mk_horus,

In principle it is possible to position and orient cameras according to flight log information and known flight height and use it to create flat terrain and project images on it.
Of course, it will be just a rough approximation and would not work correctly in a mountainous areas, but for the overlap estimation it could work quite fast.
