Export Dem...
« on: September 20, 2011, 08:06:59 PM »
Hello,

I  aligned enough photos and calculated an 3D-Model (of a footprint). Now, I want to "export Dem...", but the button isn't activated (always grey). Why I could not use the export-DEM-function?
Normal "Export Model"-function works...

Are there some special conditions to activate the feature?

Sorry, my english isn't the best.

Thanks for your help!

Hello dinosaur,

In order to enable DEM exporting you need to set up the coordinate system via Ground Control dialog (Tools Menu) or set the reference distance using markers.

Thanks!

But I set up a reference distance between 2 Markers. A third Marker is also integrated. Export DEM isn't activated...

I read something about a Keypoints-file. Is such a Keypoint file really necessary to set up a 3D - coordinate system? Or what's its' task?

Hello dinosaur,

Export DEM function works for the active chunk if the following conditions are fulfilled:
- chunk have to be referenced (marked by "R" in the Workspace pane) either by setting reference distance or by Ground control
- chunk should contain 3d-model built by Build geometry process

Please check if this is true for your project. If the Export DEM isn't still activated you can send us .psz file to support@agisoft.ru so we could investigate the problem.

Ground  Control dialog is usually used for setting up geographic coordinate systems based on camera or marker locations, but I don't think that this way could be applied for the footprint model.
