Export does not keep scale
« on: May 19, 2014, 03:35:31 PM »
Hi,

I am running into a problem where the scale of the models are not preserved when exported and opened in Maya and Blender.

I have tried exporting in obj, fbx, dxf, and dae formats and I am still getting the same problem.

The scale is set by markers.

Any suggestions?

you need to keep in mind that say OBJ export in UNITS that are not set, try set  METERS for importing units, or scene units... if remember AGI work with METER as a export unit.... in FBX should be dispalyed file units......

Thanks for your response Wishgranter.  You are always informative and willing to help.

I am still having the same problem.  I have concluded that if I am the only one experiencing this issue, than there is probably something wrong on my end.  I will continue to work at it.

Update;

I've been able to achieve real world scale by multiplying the photoscan units by 100.  So if a marker distance is 1m in real world measurements, I'd have to input it as 100m in PS.  Is it just me experiencing this?
