Mutli-Camera shooting, different lens sizes ok?
« on: May 23, 2014, 02:49:00 AM »
I am thinking about adding a second DSLR to be able to shoot turntable photo sets faster, but wondering how important it is for them to have the same focal length or even same exact lens model.  I currently have a Canon 7d and thinking about buying a used 60d, which has same specs and resolution.   I do have a 50mm macro + another non-macro 50mm prime, but unsure if it would work to use these for the same photo session that will be processed in one Chunk.   To take it even farther, what about combining photos using one of these 50mm with some taken using my 35mm prime?

Thanks,
Mitch

Hello Mitch,

It is possible to use different cameras/lens in the same project. They will be calibrated individually according to the calibration groups specified in the Tools menu -> Camera Calibration dialog.
