Flat Mesh
« on: May 27, 2014, 10:11:51 PM »
I'm working with a set of aerial images and have noticed warping/distortion of the orthorectified output due to variations in the height mesh that is produced. I have tried running with 0 <= polygons < 10,000 and the mesh is smooth and features don't seem distorted. However with a significantly lower polygon count, huge portions of the point clouds aren't being used in the mesh.

Is there a way to create a perfectly flat mesh?

thanks!

UPDATE: Nevermind, realized 'Decimate Mesh' existed. cheers

Though it still loses detail and is slightly distorted. Is there anything else I can do to get a purely flat mesh?
