Export Depth Maps
« on: May 28, 2014, 03:44:33 PM »
Is it possible to get the depth maps generated and saved in the same way textures are? Also noticed when enabling Keep depth maps in preferences and export depth maps you get options to save out texture, normal map and depth map. Why isnt it possible to get these out the same way as textures? And lastly, what is the main purpose to be able to save them out picture by picture?

As a workaround you can rename your project to .zip and extract the depthmaps. I don't think they have matching filenames however.

I found an older post that you wrote about this and I tried it, looked like all my depth maps was completely black when I opened up the exr's from the zip files. Maybe I need to edit them in photoshop with exposure or levels to make black and whites visible, tried a quick test but nothing was showing up except just black..
It would be nice if you could extract the normal and depth maps the same way as you export textures today in Agisoft. instead of going in to max, maya or similar to bake that information to texture.
