Ground Control Points and their use
« on: June 22, 2014, 03:35:47 AM »
Dear all,

I will like to ask the following:

I have Agisoft Pro and will like some help with understanding the use of control points.

I have photos of a wall elevation. The camera georeference positions are not known. However, I have measured points with a GNSS.

How do I make the model scalable and georeferenced? Do I create points on the photos adding the easting northing and elevation values?

Add the points on the mesh before texture?

I need some help with this.

Yes, you add points to the photos.

Scale bars work as well. I use a surveyors staff for this and works fine. You can also measure distances between points on your wall, create targets in PS at these points.
Create a scale bar from target pairs. Enter known distance.
Leave the targets unchecked in PS.
Have the scale bar checked.
Optimize.
Good luck
