Help with orthophoto quality. How to improve it?
« on: June 23, 2014, 04:54:26 PM »
I made some UAV datasets with a Canon SX260. But I'm not liking the final orthophoto results, it looks blurred in comparison to the original picture. I have a good overlap and good picture quality control.  The total dataset is more than 700 pictures.

Original Picture (I picked a house with a pool)

Agisoft Ortho (Small area CROP at 100% )

The original picture:

FULL SIZE PICTURES:

The original size Agisoft Result:

You can see that the difference between the original picture and what agisoft produced as an orthophoto is big. Why?

I alligned in high, optmized, dense cloud was high and mesh was high. Didn't changed much besides that.

What can I do in the workflow to improve the quality of the ortho?

what are the settings in Export Orhophoto?

Do you have some bad images --> estimate image Quality...

Hello Fernandoker,

It will be also interesting to see the Chunk Info screenshot and solid view for the given area.

I removed many low quality images, based on agisoft info.

Chunk Info and Export info.

You could select a few points of the sparse cloud in that area, then right click and filter photos by points. Then you only have a handful of images to check through and you can be fairly sure you've seen them all.
