File format with transparancy support for importing
« on: July 08, 2014, 10:02:48 AM »
I would really like support for Transparancy for the TIFF file format, or support for PSD files (without layers), so that I can do my masking in Photoshop.

I can mask much faster in Photoshop, so it would be a huge timesaver to be able to erase unwanted regions this way.

Hello marcel,

I think it is working now. You just load TIFFs with alpha to PhotoScan project, then use Import Masks -> From Alpha Channel option.

Thanks Alexey,

It works for PNG files, but when I try it with a Tiff with transparency it does not work.

Hello marcel,

Could you please send any sample TIFF file with alpha you are using? Is it possible that the layer is not marked as alpha and is just "extra"?

You are right, it is working correctly with an alpha mask. I was using layer transparency (simply deleting part of the layer in a single layer document).

Thanks for the help!
