Export orthophoto: spatial reference is missing
« on: November 08, 2011, 07:41:27 PM »
i export the points from my genereted terrain model with the reference of GPS data (ground control). The coordinate system i have chosen is the WGS84/UTM32N for switzerland. The coordinates seems to be correct in the ascii file.
In the second step I want to export the orthophoto with the same spatial references (WGS84/32N). If I choose the jpg file, the spatial reference is missing complete... The tif file seems to be with, but the extend is complete a different?!

The Y coordinates of the my point cloud is something about e.g. 1525100 and the Y coordinates of the image is 5251000 meters. So the problem is there is a vertical shift along the Y axes of both data, by export them from PS.

So it seems there is a bug by the export of the point clouds???

I had a simmilar problem, where the north axis was about 3km off. It turns out that if you have already chosen a subset (e.g. 32N) in the ground control step, you don't need to do it again in the export step, only WGS1984 will do. At least this worked for me.
