The real trouble with the MK is the programable range of 250m.

Hello Darko,

the 250 m radious limit is the MK's personal usage license limitation. If you use MK for commercial business there are extended licenses available ( 500m or more, depending on the need and price of course  ;) ).

Best regards,

Alex

Yes Alex,

I am not sure, bit I think I have a 500 m license. Anyway in austria there is the regulation, that only flights with visible connection to the drone are legal, so at least there is a limit.

I have also the file Ground Station from DJI on my Ipad, which is a very useful tool. I use it in this parts, where no Mikrokopter map is available.

then I Write the point coordinates directly into the MK Waypoint file using the TXT-Editor.

Hello Martin,

if you have an ARF Okto, then 500 m commercial license is included, yes. The radius limitation is active when using programmed flights, if manually flown it is ignored and you must follow your local regulations.  :)

Yes, mission planning is a bit of a pain with MK for photogrammetry, but is getting better with latest version. I use our converter program that enables me to use Mission Planner for flight planning and converting the waypoints to MK format which can be easily imported into MK tool.  :D

Best regards,

Alex

Hi Guys,

No limits on DJI Wookong M.. It's up to you to folow the regulations, not some other guys to put those limits for you. If you pay to MK than you can fly up to 2km, why is that so? I've thrown my MK into garbage when I found that out.

Best regards,
Darko

Hello Darko,

yes, there are many other solutions that have no limits, but MK has one. It is like that. Higher range license is licensed to user/company and with that info drone can be tracked in case of damage or simmilar.

I would preffer no limits on them also, but there are and I use their hardware nevertheless. I use other flight controllers also if I need more range.

I thought you had trown the MK into garbage because you crashed it  in your office ;)

Best regards,

Alex
