Eye-Fi SDHC cards for shooting
« on: February 14, 2014, 08:03:12 PM »
Has anyone tried http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye-Fi SDHC memory cards for shooting ? i've considered the option of using them, it would make everything "cleaner" since i wouldnt have to use 9128512 cables...

Do you think USB hubs are more reliable ? any recommendations ?

Thank you   :)

It looks like it's possible. Might be a bit tedious to configure each card first, but it appears you can link up to 20 eyefi cards to one eyefi account (not sure if you would need multiple computers in order to host more than one account, though)

I tried. It's not helpful. To get the photo in Eye-Fi card, you have to manually open a desult picture restored in the card, and it will open it's wifi signal. And then you use your computer or smartphone or tablet to access that wifi. Since you can not get access to multiple wifi, so you can only link to one eye-fi card at a time. Is useful for sharing a group of photos to a smartphone, etc. But it can be really annoying if you have to get photos from 40 or so cameras...It's easiler to the cards out of the camera...or to use usb hubs.
