« on: November 10, 2011, 06:59:12 PM »
when i want to bring a modified mesh (obj file) back (via import mesh), nothing is shown. the in ps generated mesh disappears and the new one is not shown...

is there any limitation?
i want to modify the mesh in MeshLab or Meshmixer..

Hello Tom,

We've checked mesh import right now and have not faced any problems, could you please send us this .obj by e-mail to support@agisoft.ru.

would be there an option, to get point data (XYZ or ASCII) as import back to PS and calculate a new mesh out of it?
because i combined lidar and uav point clouds and generate a dem, which i want to modify and bring back to PS. ...and gis don?t support any 3d formats normaly, so i can also export it as XYZ file type. in this case MeshLab is the only freeware tool i found, which can import raster files like xyz and can convert it to obj.

PS is really good for simple presentation in 3d. and bring it out as u3d file. but the missing gis link is a problem for me. i can create perfect geo data with PS from a drone, but for combining with laserscanning data i have to use other packages... also with other gis data. but i can only bring meshes as obj or ply file back to photoscan.... any tips?
best
thanks, tom
