Show just lines rather than shading when masking
« on: September 15, 2014, 07:35:20 PM »
Hi,

A lot of the images that I work with have items in the foreground, so I usually make a mask that has several separate regions. My workflow is to select the first section, invert it, then add most of the image to the mask. I then select other sections in the image and subtract them from the mask. However, after adding most of the image to the mask, it can be a bit difficult to see other parts of the image that are in the grey shaded masked region, making it difficult to select them.

So my request is to have an option that only shows the lines delineating the borders of the masked region, rather than shading the entire masked region. This would make it easier for me to select several regions, and I could always turn the shading on afterwards to check.

Hopefully this can be possible in a future addition.

This might present another problem where we won't be able to tell which section is masked and which is not.
Maybe something like a Mask Transparency Slider would prove to be useful in such cases.
