problem with shoes
« on: October 08, 2014, 11:39:44 AM »
Hi, guys
i seem  to have a problem with middle part of shoes missing in my model.
i have 6-7 cameras just pointing at front part of shoes and in the dense cloud i can already see that middle part of shoes is missing. rest part of shoes scan perfectly. i have 100 canonns full body rig.
Did anyone have same issues?

We are performing full body scans with about 120 cams. We have the same problem even with non-glossy shoes. Is there somebody who solved this problem with more cams, better light, ...

Hello osensus,

The problem might be related to the lack of matching points between the cameras of the lowest row. As a workaround I can suggest to put markers on the toe caps and rebuild the dense cloud. It may help to estimate the scene depth for the related images.
