Lens software - still available?
« on: October 09, 2014, 12:00:30 AM »
Since the re-make of Agisoft web site I am unable to find a download link for the Lens software.

Is it still relevant? (If yes, please direct me to the download link.)
Or does the Photoscan Pro resolve the distorsion parameters anyway during the optimize step in the workflow?

IF Lens is still available / relevant: How does it´s correction output perform compared to just letting the Photoscan Pro do it (in optimize step)?

/ Tom

Seems like lens is now bundled with photoscan in a single installer

hi

but is it still relevant?
does it really offer much of an improvement or is the photoscan algorithm capable of doing it on the fly?

In the versions 1.4 and 1.5 the functionality of the camera/lens calibration has been included to the main application. The related information is available in section "lens calibration" of Chapter 2 of PhotoScan 1.4 / Metashape 1.5 manual.
