DPC_Watchdog_Violation
« on: November 03, 2014, 02:33:46 PM »
hello,
we are on a brand new PC(intel i7-5930) with windows 8.1 and 2x GeForce GTX 980 (NVIDIA driver 344.48) getting a Bluescreen crash and "DPC_Watchdog_Violation". have 10 of 12 cpu cores active, and the two graphics cards active as OpenCL.
Testing a small project and Photoscan  pro 1_0_4 x64-1847 have crashed this new PC several times already.
please see the attached log, is it software or hardware failure?

best regards

Hello eriks,

nVidia drivers 340.52 and later have compatibility issues with PhotoScan 1.0.4. So if you are going to use GTX 980 cards, you need to install version 1.1 (pre-release) or to disable OpenCL processing.

Note that bluescreen is usually related to hardware problems.
