Hello gilrito,

Please check that you are running ./photoscan.sh script.

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem.

I am using Ubunto 14.04 and I get the same response from  ldd photoscan

However running  ./photoscan.sh  does not make any difference. Any ideas please?

Does it matter where I install photoscan.sh ( so where I untar  photoscan-pro_1_0_4_amd64.tar)

I am sure  the answer is a simple one!

Thanks

Hello garin smith,

Are you using 64-bit OS?

Hello,

Yes

$ uname -a
gives
Linux ip-172-31-45-217 3.13.0-36-generic #63-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 3 21:30:07 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

And when I login I get
Welcome to Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS (GNU/Linux 3.13.0-36-generic x86_64)

I found a forum which recommended the following.

sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-dev

I tried this and the above problem went away but I now have

"error while loading shared libraries: libSM.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

so I am not sure if this has helped a little or not!

I have removed all of the unable to locate package errors by doing the following

sudo apt-get install libsm6
sudo apt-get install libxrender-dev
sudo apt-get install libfontconfig
sudo apt-get install libgomp1

now I get

cannot connect to X server

This was resolved by changing my PUTTY settings to enable X11 forwarding and then running xming
I was then able to run sh ./photoscan.sh

Problem solved!
