How many camera needed for a 360 degree facial scan?

What software to use to link up all the cameras?

what should i take note of? like usb cable length, power supply?

You do not have to go down the expensive DSLR path...

You can also do it with the raspberry pi camera. By default this 5MP camera focus from 70cm, but you can change this to be closer, meaning you can put cameras very close to face and get extreme resolution, especially if you use projection support.

You don't but it is recommended, unless you can integrate noise projection as well to compensate for the low resolution pi cameras.
