Replace Photos!

I would really like to be able to replace existing photos what whatever I would fell like to replace them with! No exact matches of file names etc! And I would like to do it on selected images and in the standard version. In a batch of course not photo by photo..and I dont want to use a script to do it! Thank you:)

I'd like this too please
this would help with the workflow of importing of photos with alphas for masking , then swapping them out for undistorting.
also if colour is updated and you would like to update a model for texturing ?
