The rotate object icon dose not work
« on: December 30, 2014, 11:10:43 AM »
Hello!

When opening a file made by Agisoft 1.0.9 in the new 1.1 2004, the rotate object icon dose not work.
Anybody have a clue what to do?

Thanks,
Davis

Dear Davis,

Rotate Object tool is disabled for referenced chunks.

What is your task and why do you need to rotate the chunk that has been already referenced in space according to the marker/camera coordinates?

Hi Alexey,

My task is creating a model of a stone building. I use a Nikon D800 with a GPS unit, but I do not have ground control points for the project.

I use the rotate object tool to align the model to the xyz planes, but cant do that in V 1.1

Thanks,
Davis

Hello Davis,

Are you sure that there are no coordinates for the camera positions loaded automatically from EXIF tags to the Reference pane?

If so, that you can just select all cameras in the Reference pane, clear coordinate information, switch the coordinate system from WGS84 to Local Coordinates and finally reset chunk transformation using Reset Transform option in the context menu after right-clicking on the chunks' label in the Workspace pane.

Thanks Alexey,

it worked  :)

Is there any advantage in using a gps unit with the d800 for creating a 3D model of a building? will it make the photo align faster?

thanks,
Davis
