How does one mask by quickly "automating" the process: “from back ground” and “keying”? This excellent video

I have Premiere Pro CS6 with After Effects (which I never use since Premiere has enough effects for my needs including the outstanding Ultra Key). I would love to know how to do these processes. How does one generate all the masks with the keying?
