Model built on incorrect plane
« on: January 26, 2015, 02:25:48 AM »
I'm having an issue with the model being constructed on the incorrect plane in Agisoft Photoscan. I'm not sure if this can be addressed by just using the Pro version. Every time I export the model, it's always on a 45 degree angle through the zero Z axis plane.  This is hard to explain, so I attached two images that should clarify what I'm talking about.... Is there a way to 'mate' the bottom of the model flush to the zero Z axis plane??

THANKS!

I normally use the standard views (top, left, right) to manually rotate the point cloud and the bounding box to the correct orientation after the alignment is image complete.  The red face of the bounding box is the bottoms.  Shortcut keys for the views make it nice and easy (7,3,1)

Hello JohnSC,

Are you using any reference coordinates for georeferencing? If not, then you can use Rotate Object button from the Toolbar to orient the model accordingly to the coordinate system axis in the bottom right corner.

@bigben, thanks for the hotkeys! i will use them from here on.

@Alexey, I'm not using any reference points. Is that a Pro version feature? I have Photoscan version. I am able to rotate the model to the plane desired, however it's not perfectly flush with the zero axis plane.  Should I go through the workflow again using the hoykeys bigben specified? Hopefully looking top-down when aligning photos or building the point cloud will build the model on the zero Z axis plane...

Thanks again!
