Filter threshold
« on: January 25, 2012, 03:15:01 PM »
Can anyone give me a good explanation of what filter threshold actually does? I didn't find the explanation in the manual satisfying. If anyone has an example to show that would be much appreciated.

If I can add that this interest me too. Few days ago I made little test rendering mesh and varying filter threshold from 0/ 0,1/ 0,5/ 1/ 5 / 10 but results were the same....  ???

Hello,

Filter threshold is an equivalent of Select Components feature. After the model is built smaller isolated components are filtered automatically if Filter Threshold value differs from "0".

Alexey, if I understand this correct you mean that it only applies if you have parts of the model that "floats" in the air and that the filter threshold deletes these parts, if they are smaller than the percentage one chooses?

Hello Kjellis,

Yes, that's it. If you have one-component model there is nothing to filter.
