select photo by point(s) or by selection

Hi

If I select a number of points in the point cloud, I get different results if I ask "select photos by points" or "select photos by selection".  however I do not understand what is the difference. 

Also : I do not undertsand how to  use the "select photo by point" (without s) feature.

Can you explain ?

Hello Bruno,

Applying "Filter by"  options results in filtering the content of the Photos pane only.

Filter Photos by Point - works only in cases, if you right-click on the point on the reconstructed mesh,
Filter Photos by Selection - displays only selected cameras in Photos pane,
Filter Photos by Points - displays cameras that include projections of the selected sparse cloud points,
Filter Photos by Marker - requires one or markers to be selected first.
