How to sync 80 DSLRs to get same amount of FLASH lighting?
« on: March 11, 2015, 04:09:29 AM »
I have 80 DSLRs with shutter speed 1/200 and a flash that shoots at 1/300 at full power (I can adjust that up to 1/10000 with less power).  Some cameras seem to be getting less light than others even if the cameras are centimetres apart.  Is this cos some cameras get more light from the flash than others?  If so, how do I make sure every camera gets the same amount of light?  I'm thinking I could set the flash to be much faster then fire it on front curtain for the very last camera, but how do I determine what the very last camera is?

Which kind of flash do you have? If you have one of the cheap one i am quite sure the shutter speed is too fast.
I would recommend to reduce shutter speed to e.g. 1/80 or 1/60 (which is quite fast for normal moving things) and adjust flash power according your light requirements.

For high shutting speed you really need quite good and expensive flash.
With the cheap one (even if they tell you other specification) you will have problems.
Beside this you should also use cable instead of wireless flash sync.

Hope this helps.
