Seams artifacts in thermal orthomosaics
« on: April 02, 2019, 06:22:50 PM »
Hi Alexey,

We are experiencing an increasingly high number of seam artifacts in both VNIR (4 band multispectral) and thermal orthomosaics after upgrading from PhotoScan 1.0 to 1.3, then to 1.4. Some days 100% of our images have these seams. When we used to process our imagery in 1.0 we did not see this effect. We fly with 60% side overlap with camera systems from manned aircraft. We don't provide calibration information to PhotoScan while processing but we do undistort our thermal imagery before the images are processed. We also don't specify camera parameters such as focal length and pixel size, but the estimated values (although variable) seem to model it quite well. I haven't seen any other topics on the forum about this issue, but if there is a common cause for this effect that you are aware, please let us know.

Happy to attach processing parameters and provide camera parameters if it would be helpful.

Thanks in advance, you are well known at our company and we use > 25 licenses.
