Titan X

This should be worth waiting for.  Holding the trigger on my new build and this news made me wonder if i should wait.  Any new CPU generations to expect for the autumn as well?

What would be the limit on texture size with 12gb ?  My current 6GB Titan i can generate 16K textures. 32K textures possible with Titan X?

Hello igor73,

GPU is not used during texture generation process. The limit that you see in the Console pane on the program start is related to the visualization: larger textures will be downscaled (for visualization only!) to that size.

Oh really?  So i can generate 32K textures right now and export them as 32K?  Good to know.  Not sure my rendering software will handle it anyway though.

Hello igor73,

Yes, you can try that, but you might face the memory problems, or with image format limitations.
