Automatic Marker Placement on Non-Referenced Images
« on: November 05, 2018, 11:33:31 PM »
Howdy,

I am working on a research project, and am looking to add markers to a backlog of images we have for a site (5 cameras, 2 pics/day, 10ish months of data, pics are typically similar). These cameras are not georeferenced. Our later workflow process references 3D models produced in Photoscan for further processing.

We have small targets (which we do have coordinate data for) installed on the site, but the distance from the site has meant automatic target detection has been unfruitful (targets are typically very small in images). What I am wondering is if it is possible to manually place markers once on one model, and then apply those markers (accurately) to other models. Note: the pictures are similar but not exactly the same (wind, weather, etc). I have a script set up currently for automatic cloud generation and want to add this process to that.
