I understand that there are 2 photogrammetry methods know for printed 3d figurines.
1) DSLR
2) Raspberry Pi. 

how would you compare cost Vs quality in these systems for 3d printed figurine.

I think if I was in 2d figurines business, I would go for the raspberry pi.. because today's 3D printers have a poor definition anyway.. so why spend more..

although be careful, 3D printing evolves at fast speeds.. so this might change in a not too distant future.. who knows.

ps. if you want to print large figurines like 1 or 2 feet tall... then you could consider DSLR..

at the end, it's all about the kind of clients you plan to have..

... and the money you want to spend for such business..

I think there is another method. why anyone don't talk about compact cameras. they have 16 ~ 20 M pixel resolution and I think they can compete whit raspberry Pi. does anyone have any experience with them?
