It would be great if you could export the bounding box.

This would be very helpful for heightmap reconstruction since it would remove much guesswork of what the ground normal is.

This in turn would help with heightmap and normalmap baking in an external editor.

Not quite sure what do you mean.

Note that you can orient bounding box parallel to the coordinate system axis using Python script:

Thanks for the script. It's a shame I can't use it. The Professional edition is outside my budget currently, and such a small feature doesn't warrant the investment.

I just meant that it would be great if you could export the bounding box as an obj. model. Then you could orient your low poly model accordingly if doing height reconstruction. I need to use Xnormal for baking because of tangent space concerns.
