3d digitizer software
« on: July 06, 2015, 09:43:07 PM »
Hy all,

I'd like to make 3d maps using photogrammetry. I have DTM and ortophoto. I'd like to digitize lines like road, railway .... I push the button on the A point then the B point and  I need a 3d line from A to B, a polyline that follows the topography. Can anybody tell me a good software?

If you have the orthophotos and DTM then you're looking for GIS software.  Try https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_geographic_information_systems_software

Virtual Surveyor by Geoid.be sounds pretty like what you want. Anyway digital stereoplotters remain as the best choice for clean vectorial feature collection, while DEM/DSM + orthoimage monoploting-based methods are prone to big errors in elevation.
