GCPs added but output is upside down?
« on: June 30, 2015, 09:49:33 PM »
Top is bottom and bottom is top?  Output pt cloud data to Civil 3D shows the buildings and trees with a negative Z.  How can I get this right?  I'm using about 8 GCPs spread around the site and they are tight.

Thanks newbie here.

Hello Bill,

Probably you've mixed X and Y coordinates for the control points on import?

that might be the issue.   Going to reprocess switching the X/Ys and see it that helps.     5 hrs later.........  ;)

You can just re-import coordinates and press Update button in the Reference pane. It is not necessary to reprocess the whole project.

I have another site where there are no GCP but using the GPS location data from Pixhawk was imbedded into the photos.  Now the site is sloped at a weird angle.  The altitude for each photo looks good other than two photos.  But in 3d all looks good.    When I export out the pt cloud it comes in proportional correct but sloped way too steep.  Any ideas?

Hello billneu,

Was it a linear flight?
