Texturing a mesh for creating an orthophoto
« on: August 17, 2015, 02:46:54 PM »
I wan to create orthophotos from mesh. Theoretically, I don't know textured mesh for the generation of an orthophoto. I   need only mesh surface. Am  I right?

You are correct.

You only need a mesh of all the points or either the ground points (after auto-classifying) to create an Orthomosaic.

@ stihl
what do you mean ' ground points'.. Are they markers or dense cloud. I have problem that my mesh is never correct near windows, door etc.  Ho can make my orthophotos nice at windows.

Ah I'm talking about an aerial survey project.

In the case of a building, I'd suggest deleting the windows from the point cloud all together so it only meshes the points of the walls.

But then the generated orthophoto would be correct?
I tested it already, Orthophoto with windows and without windows(filled hole are not the same)?
