camera stand hardware
« on: September 03, 2015, 01:20:51 AM »
What are the stands called that folks are using to clamp cameras onto? Looking for a rough part list as I might invest in a 5 camera setup that all attach to a single stand.

Thanks

Thanks FLuca for the response. In the end I've got my cameras clamped to a light stand. But ideally I want to use a C-stand, although they're quite heavy but it helps keep the cameras stable.

My setup at the moment is:

- 1x 360 motorized stand
- green screen for background (clipped to 2 C-stands)
- 4x soft box lights, 2 for green screen, 2 for subject (3200w setup, I find these aren't enough light!)
- super clamps to mount cameras to stand (also had to get mini ball head mounts, and 1/4" male to 1/4" male screws to attach ball head to clamp)
- Vello, remote triggers for each camera (had to purchase additional sync cables, some of which are still screwy)

So I manually trigger the cameras as the subject rotates, then manually remove all the memory cards and transfer to a computer for processing. It isn't too bad at the moment..
