Non-Matching UV Map and Texture JPG
« on: November 26, 2015, 06:25:16 AM »
Hello all,

I've been running into an issue that happens occasionally (usually when my machine has been running for a while) that blows my mind - when exporting an OBJ with an 8k texture, I get a mis-matched UV map and JPG texture file (e.g. the texture coords/UV map aren't matched properly to the exported JPG). The JPG looks fine, and the map looks fine, they just don't line up.

I'm using Photoscan Standard.

The process I follow is this:

Import Photos
Align Photos
Build Dense Cloud
(crop the cloud using the selection tool)
Build Mesh
Build Texture
Save PSZ
Export OBJ

No errors are logged in the console, nor is there anything wrong with the OBJ except for the texture coords not matching up.

I've tried changing my video card, changing my drivers, etc, and I can't seem to find a machine that doesn't do this occasionally. Using 1.0.4, 1.1.6, and 1.2.0 (and all three do the same thing).

I'd say this happens once every 10-15 exports.

The attached image shows what happens - the circle on the bottom right of the UV actually matches the center middle of the top of the JPG image...

Any ideas?
