Geoid import crash
« on: December 01, 2015, 02:38:44 PM »
Hi Guys

this is my first post after using Photoscan for two years....  ;)

I  have been on a asignment in Sweden and as a result i needed to load the RH2000 geoide ( Wich went fine ) but after instaling the Tiff file Photoscan crashes every time i try to generate a report from the project with the message " Unsupported vertical datum"
 what did I do wrong?

in advance thank you

Soren

Hello Soren,

Could you please specify what geoid you are using and what coordinate system?

Hello Søren,

The crashing problem will be fixed in the next update, but the "vertical datum error" might appear if the coordinates input to the Reference pane do not correspond to the area defined in the GeoTIFF related to the geoid model.

I've just used the same combination (ESPG::5850) and specified coordinates for three points inside the area of use, according to the EPSG-registry. It worked without error message.

Hi Alex

thank you for the swift reply.

but i do not understand answer! :-)

"if the coordinates input to the Reference pane do not correspond to the area defined in the GeoTIFF related to the geoid model"

I asume that the RH2000 geoide cover all of Sweden? so the coordinat input should be in the area defined by the Tiff, right?

in advance thank you

Soren

Hello Soren,

Maybe you can send the project file (aligned cameras with markers, if present) and the coordinate data in the combined system to support@agisoft.com, so that we can just switch to the EPSG::5850 and see what is not working?
