ERROR MERGE CHUNKS
« on: December 14, 2015, 02:42:44 PM »
We are testing the new version 1.2 and when we want to merge two chuncks we lost the point cloud of the tie points. In the previous version, the tie points point cloud of each chung was merged.

Anyone knows how we can resolve this?

Thanks so much.

Hello Manuel,

Thank you for reporting.

Are both chunks aligned with each other? Do they have [R] mark next to their labels in the Workspace pane.

One has the R label (which orient with respect to each other), the other not.

Is there a solution to this?

Hello Manuel,

Chunks should be aligned prior to the merging operation. Otherwise there will not be any information about their relative position.

ok:
1) We have a chunk 1 that it was orientated.
2) We habe other chunk 2 that it was orientated.
3) We orientate chunk 2 respect chunk 1. Then chunk 2 have the label R, and chunk 1 no.
4) We want to merge the chunks, but we lost the chunk 1 tie point cloud (and we dont want to generate it again)

What do we do wrong?

Thanks

Hello Manuel,

The result of the third step in your workflow should be two chunks with [R] mark. So if it is not, then chunk alignment for some reason doesn't work.

What option you are using for chunk alignment?
