Rendering Mesh
« on: December 20, 2015, 10:03:21 AM »
Hi, I'm trying to process 66 pictures here and seems like my ram is insufficient.

i7 3960x
32gb ddr3 2133mhz running at 1600mhz
GTX680 2GB
250GB Evo 850 SSD

Setting in photoscan
align photo with reference in highest setting
build dense cloud with highest setting
build mesh with highest setting (took too long, cancelled)
cut out unwanted point
build mesh with medium setting

still my ram is fully occupied which means that my ssd will be in used right?

Hello primon,

If you are generating mesh using Arbitrary mode, at first it will be generated in the max. possible detailisation and then will be decimated to the given polygon count. So the target number of polygons doesn't matter much on the memory consumption.

You can find approximate memory consumption peak depending on the numbeer of images and dense cloud quality in the following document: http://www.agisoft.com/pdf/tips_and_tricks/PhotoScan_Memory_Requirements.pdf
