Orthomosaic export

Hi all

I have a problem exporting the orthomosaic.
I have trimmed the mesh in order to visualize only the part of it i need for the orthophoto. However when i export the orthophoto i still visualize the parts deleted.

What m i doing wrong?

Hello etnad,

If you have already build orthomosaic (using Build Orthomosaic option in the Workflow menu), then editing mesh/DEM wouldn't have any effect.

If you need to export a custom area of the orthomosaic, you can draw a polygonal shape in the Ortho view mode on the orthomosaic and assign Outer Boundary flag to it. Such shape will be used for the further orthomosaic export.

Thank you for your quick reply.
After building the mesh i have edited it trimming some aereas. After that i have built the orthomosaic and then exported it. Howevere some parts are still there.
Do you have any suggestions?

It is basically a flat wall, but the 2 columns on both sides come in front of it.
It looks like ps still projects the associated images of the columns although i have deleted the mesh

Hello etnad,

If I understand the problem correctly, you have removed some elements of mesh that were between cameras and the area of interest, but it results in the fact that PhotoScan projects the original images on the existing surface, as it doesn't have an information that there is any "unwanted" area that shouldn't be projected on the available mesh.

So in such case I can suggest to mask the unwanted parts of the scene in the foreground on the original photos prior to orthomosaic generation process.
