export points and marker's image coordinates
« on: May 15, 2012, 01:45:08 PM »
I guess there is no way of import/export pixel/image coordinates for feature points nor for markers. Am I wrong?
I think it could be an interesting addition as it would allow us test different feature extraction algorithms or use third party tools to place markers

Hello LFA,

It is possible to export marker projection on any (or every) image using Python scripts.

And saving sparse point cloud in bundler format (using Tools -> Export cameras command) will give you the set of feature points with their coordinates and projections.

Thank you, good to know this.

What's interesting to me is, what precision do you guys achieve with your models? My own errors range between 1 and 10 cm horizontally and around 20 cm vertically. Currently I am thinking about ways how to improve these values, especially vertically.

Oliver

Are you talking about aerial photos?
If so I think you are good enough, otherwise you should see your makers positions and even about the camera resolution/lens.
