Error: Assertion "23898923900094" failed at line 157!
« on: September 18, 2023, 03:32:55 AM »
I'm getting an error when I try and build a point cloud.
Is this a corrupt image?  How can I find out which image it is?
When I re-ran it the it had the same error except it failed at line 129 that time.

Hello reilly,

I recommend to update to version 2.0.3 and check, if the issue is still there. If the problem persists, then it is suggested to check RAM using Memtest86 utility in multi-threaded mode, as the problem could be caused by RAM failures.

I updated to 2.0.2 and ran it again.  Same error.
I'll try 2.0.3 now.

It's always at 50% progress that it dies.

It failed much earlier with 2.0.3.
After 15 minutes instead of 16 hours.

4th time is something different.  I'll do the mem test.

Also; is there any point keeping the previous attempts at depth maps?  It's taking up almost 2Tb.

Hello reilly,

Seems that the depth maps data is being corrupted for some reason, when stored in the project folder.

Let me know, if memtest shows any failures. Also you may try to disable overclocking on CPU/RAM (if any applied) and lower RAM frequency via BIOS to see if it helps.
