Interpreting the DEM
« on: March 10, 2016, 06:26:16 PM »
Hi All,

I have attached an image of a DEM generated from an aerial survey. I was using version 1.0 at the time. Could you knidly help me to interpret it. Why I am asking is because there are some areas showing -45m and I am not sure why.

Thanks

on the eges of the model you usualy have non vailid data make sure to scan a larger area and then crop to an extend where you still have enough overlayand not just the forward looking stereo image

Hello Gregory,

The elevation model also looks like the model is distorted and "bowled" - higher in the center and lower in the middle. You might need to optimize the camera alignment, if the coordinates of the cameras or markers are present.
