save different model orientation
« on: March 04, 2016, 11:32:43 PM »
Almost all of my models are rendered upside down.
Is there a way to adjust and save the position of a model so it will be in a particular orientation when opened?

Alternatively, does anyone know of any way of resetting the position of a PLY model using either photoscan or some other application so that the PLY opens in a particular orientation?
I have tried meshlab but I have not been able to get that to do what I want yet.

Hello fdsa,

In case you are not using any instruments for the model referencing (like coordinates of the camera or marker positions), you can use Rotate Object option located on the Toolbar. It will fix the coordinate system axis and you'll be able to rotate the model to fit the desired orientation.

Hey Alexey, is it possible to reset the rotating gizmo to switch between model and world space? Or somehow reset it at its current orientation?
